Description
Uber's airport opportunity was growing faster than conventional design processes could support. Every airport brought a different terminal, authority, kerb, traffic system, rider journey and branding constraint. We became the translation layer between Uber’s digital product and the physical airport. Through recce, journey tracing, schematics, renders and films, we turned incomplete site intelligence into a credible airport experience in just 3–5 days, giving Uber and airport teams something they could see, evaluate and agree on before it existed. Design became part of the pitch itself: expanding conversations from signage into pickup zones, kiosks, lounges, vehicles and ground infrastructure. At the same time, we stretched Uber’s global identity without diluting it, treating its squares, circles, type and colour as a cultural lived in language What began as one airport brief grew into 19 airports, 4 transit systems and 5 countries, and continues to expand across South and East Asia.
