Weather Together is a climate adaptation card game designed to turn climate knowledge into collective learning and action. Climate adaptation is often communicated through information, guidelines & technical frameworks. Yet preparedness requires more than knowing climate risks. People need to understand interdependencies, anticipate consequences and make decisions before disaster strikes. Weather Together addresses this through experiential learning where players navigate realistic climate scenarios, make decisions with limited resources & experience how choices affect the wider community. Learning through play, discussion and consequence makes complex climate concepts easier to understand, remember & apply. The game builds on the award-winning DARAJA approach by Resurgence and is designed for climate-vulnerable communities across diverse cultural contexts in the Global South. Available as an accessible print-and-play resource, it is currently being piloted in 8 countries.
