Gnome is a culinary garden & cocktail bar built on the idea of abundance. Once we gave it its name, the stories & world building followed, as if by magic. Imagine stumbling into a secret garden party where abundance spills over & mischief abounds. We created a world where you catch these troublemakers from folklore tipping over a glass, hiding behind curtains, or peeking out from pockets. The brand personality of mischief & whimsy made its way in all aspects of the design. The typography leaned in on conversations & illustrations carried the warmth & silliness of these playful creatures. The pointy hatted tricksters were brought to life across mediums. We collaborated with sculptors, ceramic artists, and landscape designers. 21 handmade sculptures, 200+ ceramic plates & a 12-foot-tall vivarium later, the garden had come to life. What emerged was a brand that felt like a folk tale come to life – the story of Gnomes woven across branding, communication design, and spatial experience.
