Description
Black Poetry has spent years working with single-origin beans, careful sourcing and cold-brewing coffee. To launch carbonated coffee as a fresh way of drinking coffee, we knew we couldn’t rely on coffee’s sacredness. The solution: a brand as bubbly and irreverent as the product itself. We called the idea Beautiful Vandalism. Inspired by Basquiat and Keith Haring, we treated classical art as raw material that were 'renewed' through street art. The cans set the visual grammar with classical portraiture split into two, where the original sat atop a street-art like version of itself. From there, we expanded into memes, social, brand book, posters, merchandise and digital experiences. The irreverence runs throughout, making it social dynamite. Whether holding the can while taking a selfie, or generating one’s own vandalised art piece, it becomes exactly what the new generation of coffee drinkers want to flaunt.
