Since 2013, traceability has been central to how Blue Tokai tells the story of coffee. We’ve always highlighted the estates we source from on our packaging. As we grew, Producer Series became a way to go further. The series became a celebration of some of India’s highest-scoring coffees and the producers who grew them. For this year’s edition, we looked at what the word “producer” really means. A coffee may begin with a producer’s vision, but a harvest passes through many hands before it becomes the coffee we know. People select the cherries, monitor fermentation, turn the coffee as it dries and prepare the green beans for the journey ahead. Their decisions and experience shape what eventually reaches the cup. So we made room for them on the pack. The illustration on each outer box shows the estate as a group of communities working together. Each release then focuses on one of these communities, with an illustrated insert telling us more about their knowledge and role in the harvest.
