Description
Food labels are designed to inform us. But what are they actually saying? Only What’s Needed (OWN) began with a simple shift: instead of deciding what consumers should know, we asked them. Over 2,00,000+ people told us what they wanted from a food label, turning “Label Padhega India” into “Label Likhega India.” The result was a brand built from the pack outwards. The packaging guide codified every decision into a modular system in multiple levels of information hierarchy. Ingredients and nutrition moved to the front. Exact percentages, and visual nutrition cues made information easier to understand. Food photography and greenwashing were stripped away. Multilingual QR translations, audio access and braille made the information more accessible. OWN was designed to make the act of choosing food make more sense.
