Description
Adobe approached us to create a film that made Creative Cloud feel fun, youthful and liberating, not as a moral argument for genuine software, but as a smoother way to create. The idea began with a simple analogy: a software licence as a driving licence. This evolved into a race between genuine and non genuine software, where two equally talented artists competed with only one real difference, the tools powering their journey. And with that, “Cat vs Copy Cat” was born. The film is packed with familiar creative world details like autosave, crashes, plugins, scripting, Firefly, firewalls and the constant race against time. Designed like a moving comic book, it combines minimal keyframes, vector and frame by frame animation with halftone textures. Every element was inspired by and produced using Adobe Creative Cloud. In the end, Kat gifts Kopy Kat Creative Cloud, turning rivalry into an invitation to create better.
