When a major new competitor attacked Asian Paints’ legacy by celebrating ‘newness,’ we didn’t answer with ‘newer.’ We answered with proof. We launched a campaign that reframed the conversation, turning our 80-year legacy from a perceived weakness into our greatest strength: proven trust. We made our warranty, a promise validated by every second home in India, the ultimate symbol of quality. In a year where we lost market share, this campaign first defended our ground, stabilizing volume growth from 1.8% to 3.9%. It then ignited a powerful recovery, accelerating growth to a stunning 10.9% and proving that in India, trust, built over decades, is the strongest innovation of all.
