Description
WhatsApp's Voice and Video Notes as alternatives to casual texting, break down barriers, open up new opportunities for connection and make “texting” truly inclusive. While the benefits of texting are obvious to those proficient with reading and typing, they aren't obvious or understood by those who can't. Before Voice Notes could be adopted into the daily lives of our audience, the benefits of casual messaging had to be made apparent. The idea was to condense decades-worth of lived experience into an intimate but sweeping story. With Voice & Video Notes playing being alternatives to texting. Engendering a deep bond between two almost-strangers brought together by an arranged marriage, separated both emotionally & physically. The film was distributed through a unique rural screening plan. “Travelling Cinemas” traversed across remote villages. Organising over 240 screenings. Rural single-screen theatres had roadblocks and it was hosted as content on OTT platforms like Zee5 & Hotstar.
