The fourth instalment of Urban Company’s influential 'Dignity Of Labour' platform aims to subtly and unobtrusively but firmly challenge perceptions around blue-collar v/s white collar migration in modern-day India. The challenge was to highlight and start a conversation around the unspoken double standards around which one career or profession, or indeed one human, is subconsciously considered ‘better’ than the other. Set in the microcosm of an urban living room and framed by everyday customer-technician banter, the story unfolds when a tech professional reflexively slips into a classist frame while comparing his journey versus the journey of the AC repair technician. Only to be disarmingly checked by the service professional whom he unintentionally disparages.
