Description
When the budget is zero, sound carries everything. The Sound designer was handed a sports film with no location sound luxury, no separate sound shoot, and no post-production safety net. What he built from those constraints is a soundscape that makes the film feel larger than its circumstances. The sound design operates on the interior logic of an athlete's mind — not the roar of a crowd or the noise of competition, but the private, almost meditative world of preparation. Breath, movement, effort, and silence are layered to create a sonic environment that places the audience inside Ritu Phogat's perspective rather than watching from outside it. The central metaphor of "Main Samundar Su" — the ocean as a symbol of limitless potential — is reflected in the sound design's texture. There is an underlying vastness to the mix, a sense of space that makes the athlete's determination feel boundless rather than contained.
