Description
The mobile screen is the most contested real estate in advertising. And on Valentine's Day, it's especially crowded with red hearts that nobody looks at anymore. Scan a Heart flipped the script by turning the phone into a scanner and every heart in the physical world into a reward. A scanning feature built into the Swiggy app let users point their cameras at any heart they encounter in real life on a poster, a storefront, a greeting card, a coffee cup and instantly unlock cashback. The phone wasn't just the distribution channel for the message. It was the bridge between the physical world and a digital reward. By building the mechanic into the app's camera and anchoring redemption in the user's immediate environment, Scan a Heart demonstrated what mobile-first truly means: not just designing for a small screen, but designing for the way people move through the world with that screen in their hand. The city became the interface.
