Description
As the world geared up for Women's Day 2026, every brand was telling tales of how far womankind has come, The Hindu wanted to shine light on a problem invisible to the world - the fact that while we live in the same world, the realities men and women experience are very different. What's mundane to men can be scary to women. The same chores that men execute without a thought or worry, such as a grocery run, requires a lot of preparation and planning for women. Where a man can just walk out to the store, a woman instinctively checks the time to see if it's safe to step out, checks to see if her clothing is perceived as appropriate and sometimes, even plans a safer route to get there Turning this insight into a powerful, hard-hitting reminder of the different realities men and women live in - we created a campaign that turns mundane chores into acts of bravery for women. This revealed to every reader the fears women experience on an average day but are rarely ever perceived.
