In cash-heavy markets like India, checking notes against light remains a common way to verify authenticity, despite being unreliable. Steadfast, a brand known for its office automation products, including currency counting machines with counterfeit detection, set out to challenge this habit. The film is built around a single moment of looking up, directed as a tightly controlled chain of cause and effect. A routine action shifts attention, triggering a sequence that moves from dark humour into an emotionally charged outcome. The direction carefully modulates tone, using restrained performances, precise framing and pacing to guide the viewer through escalating consequences. The integration of photoreal AI and CG-crafted rat characters within live-action footage is handled with precision, ensuring tonal consistency and immersion. The film contrasts casual behaviour with its impact, before resolving with a clear product payoff.
