Description
In cash-heavy markets like India, checking notes against light remains a common way to verify authenticity, despite being unreliable. Steadfast, a brand known for its range of office automation products, including currency counting machines with counterfeit detection, set out to challenge this ingrained habit. The film takes this everyday action and builds a dark, cause-and-effect narrative around a single moment of looking up. As a goon checks a note against light, his attention shifts to an unexpected sight above, setting off a chain of events that spirals into a tragic and ironic outcome. Told with a controlled tone and minimal dialogue, the film uses contrast between casual behaviour and escalating consequence to hold attention. It ends by returning to that moment, before introducing a machine that detects fakes instantly, positioning Steadfast as a smarter, more reliable alternative to traditional methods.
