In cash-heavy sectors across India, detecting counterfeit notes is a critical, everyday task. Despite the risk, many still rely on holding notes against light to verify authenticity, a manual method that isn’t always reliable. Steadfast, a brand offering office automation products including currency counting machines with counterfeit detection, set out to shift this behaviour towards a more dependable, machine-led approach. Instead of a traditional B2B demonstration, the brand created a piece of content, using a fictional, narrative-driven format to communicate this message. The film builds a dark, cause-and-effect story around a single moment of looking up, where a routine act leads to an unexpected chain of events with serious consequences. By embedding a functional product truth within engaging content, the film makes the risk of manual checking more memorable, before introducing a Steadfast machine as a smarter way to detect fakes.
