Description
To integrate Coca-Cola into Durga Puja, we transformed the sacred Pujo pandal into our ambient medium. Our creation was not an ad, but an object of devotion: the iconic Laal Paar saree, woven from recycled Coke PET bottles by traditional artisans. This became a living ambient installation. The sarees—subtly blending Coke’s bottle motif with Bengali patterns—were not displayed but worn by the community’s women during the festival rituals. Each woman became a moving, breathing point of connection, turning our shared red and white colours into a symbol of cultural belonging. We didn’t interrupt the sacred space; we wove ourselves into its fabric, turning plastic waste into a revered part of the celebration itself.
