Description
Breast cancer awareness is routinely sanitised by polite pink ribbons, leaving women completely numb to sterile medical warnings. To cure this apathy, SP Medifort, a new hospital brand in Trivandrum, engineered a massive outdoor health intervention, taking the conversation directly to the streets. We targeted Trivandrum’s ultimate symbol of flawless feminine perfection, the iconic Jalakanyaka (Mermaid) statue. We digitally amputated her breast, adding a raw mastectomy scar, and plastered this jarring image across giant hoardings positioned at the city's most attention-grabbing intersections. Asking the simple question, Noticed a change?, we transformed everyday commuting routes into spaces of inescapable confrontation. By dominating the urban landscape with a defaced local icon, we created a monumental cultural glitch. These bold outdoor placements successfully shattered pink ribbon fatigue, proving that high-impact outdoor media is a powerful catalyst for urgent healthcare action.
