Description
The film uses humour by treating a tyre demo like a failed action shoot. With Zoya Akhtar playing a director trying to stage a dramatic skid, every setup is designed to produce one, but it never happens. As roads change and retakes pile up, her frustration keeps growing, while the audience enjoys the repeated failure of the moment the film keeps building toward. The harder the skid is pursued, the funnier it gets when it doesn’t happen. The humour peaks when the reason is revealed, the car never skids because of CEAT’s grip, prompting Zoya’s frustrated call to “Change them!”. By turning product performance into the source of the joke, the film uses suspense, repetition and performance to make the demonstration both entertaining and memorable.
