Description
The stories we hear shape what we believe is possible. But in a world driven by extremes, stories that challenge inequality often struggle to be seen. In Ladakh, gender bias runs deep, shaping what women are expected to do and, more importantly, what they are not. Sport is rarely seen as a space for them. Predefined roles, limited inclusion, and everyday bias continue to question their right to play, compete, and belong. At Pocket FM, we believe storytelling can shift these perceptions. Under India Kuch Acha Suno, we created Sound of Courage Episode 1, spotlighting the Indian Women’s Ice Hockey Team and their fight for visibility, respect, and equal recognition. By bringing their story to the forefront, the campaign challenged gender bias in sport, not just by showing women playing and winning the game, but by rewriting what generations have been told they cannot be.
