Description
Every Diwali, homes and streets light up. But so do screens & all the ad spaces. With offers, notifications, & sale messages going off all at once. In the middle of this festive burst, Flipkart wanted to do more than just add to the noise. It wanted to make an impact you couldn’t ignore. The idea came from a simple behaviour. Before anything new comes in, something old has to go. The things we’ve been holding onto for too long, waiting for the right moment to replace. Instead of only showing what’s new, the film focused on that moment of letting go. We gave everyday, overused possessions a send-off worthy of Diwali. Cracked phones, outdated appliances, worn-out belongings, all blown up like firecrackers. Not in anger, but in celebration. Each burst felt like a sweet release. Set to a song about waiting far too long, the film captured the exact feeling of finally upgrading. A Diwali film that didn’t talk about a sale, but made the act of upgrading feel like a celebration.
