Sale season in India is pure clutter. Every sale is just called ‘sale’, or the more creative ‘summer sale'. When Flipkart was announcing their biggest sale of the summer, we couldn't be forgettable. Our client, like any other, asked for a generic catalogue-first film, with the caveat of telling people this was a DOUBLE SALE with 2X the discounts as any other sale. But instead of treating that like a problem, we made this our creative solve. Introducing - SASA LELE. Taking inspiration from India’s love for musicals, we made a musical out of product names. Each lyric was just product names sung like opera, paired with unforgettably bizarre visuals. The products, the weirdness, everything was doubled. The sound design brought it all together, mixed like an operatic score, yet reading like a brainrot meme. By committing to the absurd, we turned confusion into delight. The laughter didn’t come from a single punchline, but from the dichotomy of weirdness that took itself too seriously.
