Description
India’s tricolour is raised with pride across institutions every Republic Day. Desh Ka Locker extended that pride into Indian homes, reimagining flag hoisting as a personal act of patriotism—made more meaningful by giving the flag a dignified place to rest after it is flown. At the heart of the film is Nikhat Zareen, whose journey embodies what the tricolour represents. Years of sacrifice culminate in a fleeting 52-second podium moment as the flag rises. Through her story, the film elevates the flag from a symbol celebrated in a moment to one honoured with lasting respect. In a powerful final act, Nikhat folds the tricolour and places it in an Axis Bank locker, transforming a banking utility into a meaningful cultural proposition. Axis repositioned the locker as 'Desh Ka Locker' — not just a place to protect valuables, but a custodial space for national pride, turning a functional product into a symbol of responsibility and reverence.
