Description
In the heat of India’s e-commerce wars, Flipkart’s GOAT Sale went head-to-head with Amazon’s Prime Day Sale. To prove its "GOATness," Flipkart wanted to poke the competition, but legal hurdles made direct call-outs impossible. The solution was a guerrilla-style loophole: A real-world location used as a facade. Flipkart discovered a residential complex named Amazon Park Apartments and reframed "Amazon" as a place, not a brand. We launched a provocative social hook, “Why are people from Amazon shopping from Flipkart?” which ignited massive curiosity. The reveal film, shot on-site, featured a smug GOAT lounging beside Flipkart boxes, silently mocking the irony and the competition. By turning a housing society into a guerrilla media channel, Flipkart blurred the lines between reality & advertising. This hybrid stunt bypassed legal risks while generating massive organic conversation and high-intent traffic, proving that smart creative wit can outperform even the biggest category giant
