Description
Every Indian brother is indebted to his sister for years of favours, yet every Rakhi that debt is often repaid with basic, token gifts. So Flipkart created InvoiSIS. A website that put a monetary value on every sisterly favour ever done. Sisters could select relatable favours, generate an invoice, choose gift options matching the amount owed, and send it to their brothers. Every favour, prompt, invoice line item and repayment nudge was written in a witty, deeply relatable tone, turning everyday sisterly acts into humorous “billable services.” To make the joke feel believable, finance creator CA Rachana Ranade helped “price” favours, which translated as playful financial graphs and made the emotional debt look like a real statement. By combining interface writing and design, we turned a utility into a shareable digital experience people wanted to explore and pass on. It drove 2.4M+ visits, 350K+ invoices, 4X Rakhi orders and a 35% rise in average gift order value.
