Description
Battle Royale games in India were seen as aggressive and hostile. Even gamers who enjoyed playing began distancing themselves from that perception. Engagement started to decline, not because of the game, but because of what it was believed to represent. However, Indians enjoy the thrill of a fight, as long as it feels safe and playful. We have grown up loving harmless forms of battles in schools and colleges. And conflict, when harmless, is experienced as fun rather than aggression. Hence, we redefined what a "battle" feels like by rooting it in nostalgia. We brought battlegrounds back to a memory everyone has grown up with, a space where fights were harmless and joyful. And reminded people of a simple truth. Everybody loves a good fight.
