Communities worldwide face escalating risks from disasters intensified by climate change. While early warnings exist, people often lack the knowledge, confidence and collective readiness to act before disaster strikes. Technical information and conventional workshops can struggle to turn climate awareness into preparedness. Weather Together uses design to close this gap. It is an interactive card game and collaborative learning tool that immerses players in realistic climate scenarios where they take on different roles, make decisions under pressure and experience how individual choices can strengthen or expose a community to a climate disaster. Built on the award-winning DARAJA approach by Resurgence, the game was created specifically for climate-vulnerable communities across diverse cultural contexts in the Global South. Its low-carbon, accessible print-and-play format enables local use and adaptation and it is currently being piloted in 8 countries across Southeast Asia and Africa.
