Description
Designed as a temporary Experience Centre within Chennai's ecologically sensitive marshland, the project demonstrates a responsible approach to architecture through adaptability, minimal environmental impact, and future reuse. Conceived as a lightweight prefabricated steel intervention, the elevated pavilion system rests on stilts, preserving the site's natural contours, drainage, and fragile soil while avoiding extensive excavation and intensive foundations. Modular pavilions connected by lightweight bridges create an immersive visitor journey that integrates architecture with the surrounding landscape, allowing the marsh to remain the defining experience. Completed within six months, the structure is designed for dismantling and repurposing as the project's future clubhouse, extending its lifecycle and reducing construction waste. Daylit interiors, an efficient single-span steel roof, and carefully crafted materials balance industrial precision with tactile warmth.
